What happens
Batman and Robin search for Dorothy Zalinka, a former reform school inmate who closely resembles Lois Lane and may be the real Dixie Lamar. At the reformatory they learn her last known address is a run-down tenement on West Street. There Dorothy's mother tells them little, and the detectives soon realize someone inside the apartment is hiding. Dr. Bly and his gunmen appear, and a gunfight breaks out. Batman is wounded and pinned on the roof, and Robin is left to get help, while across town Lois waits in court for the jury's verdict. This is part twelve of the Dr. Bly confidence gang storyline in The Adventures of Superman, first aired on September 20, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
