What happens
Dr. Bly's confidence gang has framed Lois Lane for the murder of a federal agent, and she now stands trial for her life. Lois, a reporter for the Daily Planet, is accused of being Dixie Lamar, a gang member who shot the agent in a hotel lobby. Witnesses describe the killer and police produce a gun, a safe deposit key and cash that point to her. Lois claims a man named Mr. Hemingway set her up, but the prosecutor presses her hard. Perry White, Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen watch from the courtroom as the case builds against her. The episode is part nine of the Dr. Bly storyline in The Adventures of Superman, broadcast on September 17, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
