What happens
Superman's alter ego, reporter Clark Kent, is called to police headquarters, where editor Perry White is furious that Jim Olsen has been arrested for passing counterfeit money. Inspector Henderson insists the evidence is clear: a grocer accepted a phony five-dollar bill from Jim, and a trailing officer caught him passing several more. Clark Kent and Perry White refuse to believe Jim is a crook and go to the city jail to question him. Jim tells them where he went after the bank and whom he paid, but when Clark presses him about who gave him the bills, Jim becomes evasive and frightened. The episode is the first part of a serial in the long-running Adventures of Superman radio series, aired October 17, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
