What happens
Superman works to stop Matt Riggs, a fanatic who has escaped the arrest of his hate-group associates and plans to shoot Chuck Ringo, Perry White and Jimmy Olsen during the boys' baseball championship at Metropolis. Riggs and his henchman Lou take position on a high roof overlooking the field, waiting for the three targets to be clear of the crowd so they can be shot in quick succession. Clark Kent is nervous about Riggs' presence, and the game continues as the players gather around the pitcher's mound. Part of the story is told in this episode, which is from The Adventures of Superman radio series first broadcast on July 1, 1946.
