What happens
Clark Kent is searching for reporter Jim Olsen, who has been abducted after investigating a subway cave-in. Kent traces a phone number to a farm near the small town of Westbrook, fifty miles from Metropolis, and confronts building commissioner Clint Morgan there. Morgan denies any involvement, but Kent notices initials on the ashtrays that may point to the farm's true owner. Back at the Daily Planet, Perry White and Lois Lane are alarmed by urgent news from Clark Kent's office, where a dangling figure has been spotted high on a clock tower. The episode is part five of the Adventures of Superman serial, broadcast in 1946 on the Mutual network, with the series' standard cast and crew.
