What happens

Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, and young office boy Jimmy Olsen land a damaged airplane beside a railway track after its oil line fails, carrying the badly wounded pilot Ed Hamlin with them. Kent flags down a passing train and asks for help getting Hamlin to a hospital. Aboard the train, a breakman reports the new arrivals by shortwave radio to a figure called Professor Hagen, who is connected to an animal show. Kent and Jimmy then face a caged gorilla named Joe Joe, who gets loose and is forced back into his cage. Jimmy is separated from Kent during the confusion.

A damaged airplane landing in the desert beside a railway track, then a circuit train heading for Del Rio.

Characters: Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen, Ed Hamlin, Professor Hagen, Joe Joe

Listen for: The breakman's radio call to Professor Hagen and the commotion in Joe Joe's car, where Jimmy is separated from Kent.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
