What happens

Edward Stratton, who runs a newly licensed atomic reactor plant on Venus, is visited at his lakeside cottage by Elspeth Bennett, a former associate, who demands that he secretly sell her plutonium. Commander Buzz Corey and Cadet Happy Jack come to Lake Azure to check on Stratton after an official inquiry, and are drawn into the dispute. Stratton explains that Bennett once engineered shady deals on Mars and now threatens him with that old evidence. Bennett and her assistant Ivan Amman plot against the visitors, and the tense confrontation at the lake leads Corey and Happy into danger. The Space Patrol series, first broadcast on December 20, 1952, follows Corey's missions across the solar system.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
