What happens
Captain Roy and the dancer Myra meet during a wartime air raid in London and spend an evening together before he returns to France. They part with little expectation of meeting again, but Roy's later letter and his sudden return complicate their lives. Myra must weigh her feelings against the hardships she and her friend Kitty have endured while Roy was away. The Screen Guild Theater presents this 1946 broadcast of Robert E. Sherwood's play Waterloo Bridge, first aired September 9, 1946, with Barbara Stanwick as Myra, Robert Taylor as Roy and Isabelle Jewell as Kitty.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
