What happens

Professor Peter Morgan, a college professor at Old Sharon, meets Francie, a nightclub singer, after his cousin Keith has been staying in New York and needs to be brought home. Peter and Francie fall in love and marry quickly, but Peter has not yet told his strict father, the college president, about the marriage. Keith and Francie then face the awkwardness of hiding their plans as the family's reactions begin to build. This Screen Guild Theater broadcast of December 3, 1945 presents the film Vivacious Lady, starring Jimmy Stewart and Janet Blair, in an adaptation of the RKO comedy.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
