What happens

Edgar Bergen, with his wooden sidekick Charlie McCarthy, learns that the Screen Guild Theater plans a radio version of Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with Jane Powell in the title role and Billy Gilbert as Sneezy. Bergen is offered the part of the Prince and considers it, and Charlie insists on retelling the familiar tale. The story follows Snow White's escape from the Wicked Queen's henchman into the forest, where she tidies the untidy cottage of seven dwarfs and is welcomed as their guest. The episode is part of the Lady Esther Screen Guild Players series and aired on April 24, 1944.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
