What happens
Charlie Newton, a restless young woman in Santa Rosa, California, welcomes her charming Uncle Charlie, who arrives unannounced after she wires him. Her family adores him, but small things begin to trouble her. A ring engraved with initials, a newspaper page he hides, and a visit from a survey man all make her uneasy about the man she admires. The story is presented on the Screen Guild Theater, a Camel-sponsored radio series, in a broadcast dated June 21, 1948, starring Joseph Cotten and Vanessa Brown. It is adapted from Alfred Hitchcock's film Shadow of a Doubt.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
