What happens

Tom and Jerry Jeffers are a struggling married couple whose finances are strained after Tom's airport invention fails to attract backing. A wealthy eccentric gives Jerry a large sum of money, and she decides to divorce Tom so that he can profit from her new position. Jerry travels to Palm Beach by train, where she meets the rich John D. Hackensacker III on the way. Tom follows her there, and Jerry introduces him to John as her brother, Captain Maglu. The Screen Guild Theater presented this adaptation of the 1943 film Palm Beach Story on March 15, 1943, starring Claudette Colbert, Randolph Scott and Rudy Vallee.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
