What happens
Nick Arden marries Bianca Wurthing in a brief civil ceremony, but his first wife, Ellen, who was shipwrecked and presumed dead seven years earlier, unexpectedly appears at the hotel where the couple is staying. Nick tries to keep both women from learning of the other while he works out what to do. Ellen has arrived by plane, and the complications grow as the honeymoon plans collide with her return. This is an episode of the Screen Guild Theater, first broadcast on March 23, 1941, adapted from the film My Favorite Wife and starring Irene Dunne and Robert Montgomery, with Franklin Pangborn.

Characters: Nick Arden, Ellen Arden, Bianca Wurthing, Franklin Pangborn
Listen for: Nick trying to keep his two wives apart while Ellen unexpectedly arrives
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
