What happens

Jean Newton, a young woman in Greenwich Village, asks the artist David Grant to join her in buying a shared sweepstakes ticket, hoping his luck will help her win money to marry her fiance, Freddie Harper. David agrees on the condition that any winnings pay for a proper honeymoon before she settles down. Their arrangement becomes entangled with his strong views on honeymoons and his interest in human nature. The Screen Guild Theater presents this comedy of Ginger Rogers and William Powell, broadcast on April 6, 1941.

Listen for: Jean's bargain with David over the sweepstakes ticket, and David's claim that the honeymoon is an experiment

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
