What happens

Judy Graves, a thirteen-year-old, finds her family dull and lacking imagination, and she grows suspicious that her father, Harry Graves, and Ellen Curtis may be drawn to each other. Her mother Grace is unaware of this. Judy also meets her Uncle Willis, a man her family rarely mentions, who has been away for a long time, and she sets about helping him make a fresh start. Judy's plans are complicated by family tensions and misunderstandings during the holiday season. Screen Guild Theater presents this adaptation of Junior Miss, first broadcast on September 30, 1946, with Alan Jocelyn, Peggy Ann Garner and Barbara Whiting in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
