What happens

Paul Gaspard, a star trapeze performer, is shaken after a dream in which he falls from the wire while a girl with diamond earrings screams below him. Back in London and then aboard ship, he meets Joan Stanley, the woman from his dream, and their connection deepens. Lady Esther presents this Screen Guild Theater adaptation of the Universal picture Flesh and Fantasy, first broadcast on April 23, 1945, with Charles Boyer as Paul Gaspard and Ella Raines as Joan Stanley.

A circus in London, and later a transatlantic ocean liner bound for New York.

Characters: Paul Gaspard, Joan Stanley, Lamar, Mr. Casper, Mr. Le Mans, Mr. Stuart

Listen for: Paul's dream of falling from the wire, and the moment he recognizes the woman with the diamond earrings.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
