What happens

In occupied Norway, Gunnar Brogge leads a village resistance movement, awaiting British arms to rise against the German occupiers. When a wounded villager named Hammer arrives with news of a failed revolt in Stoksund, Gunnar and Karen Stensgard must decide how far the village can safely go. Dr. Stensgard, Karen's father, has his own doubts about the fight. Tension grows as German patrols tighten their hold on the town and the villagers struggle to keep their nerve. This is the Screen Guild Theater's 1943 radio adaptation of the Warner Brothers film Edge of Darkness, broadcast October 25, 1943, starring John Garfield, Maureen O'Hara and Ralph Morgan.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
