What happens

Captain Rick Leland, a disgraced former army officer, is recruited by United States Army Intelligence to infiltrate a suspected spy ring. He books passage to New York aboard the freighter Genoa Maru, where he meets Alberta Marlow and is pursued by a man following her. Dr. Lorenz, a suspected agent, also travels aboard and tests Leland with questions and drink. Leland's loyalties are tested as he is drawn into Lorenz's scheme in Panama. This Screen Guild Theater broadcast of 25 January 1943 stars Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor and Sydney Greenstreet, adapted from the film Across the Pacific.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
