What happens

Mentalist John Triton, once a stage psychic, is haunted by visions of death that have followed him for two decades. After a series of predicted tragedies, he is drawn into the household of Whitney Courtland's daughter, Jean, where a family fortune and a missing set of oil options are at stake. Detective Lieutenant Sean is assigned to investigate Triton, who insists that a deadline approaching eleven o'clock will bring danger. This Screen Director's Guild production of Night Has a Thousand Eyes aired on NBC's Theater on February 27, 1949, starring Edward G. Robinson as Triton and William Demarest as Lieutenant Sean, with director John Farrell introducing the program.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
