What happens

Joan Booth, a newlywed, is drawn into the gambling casinos of Nevada while her husband David, a newspaperman, is on a working trip with her. Her sister Ruth, who raised Joan after their mother died, remains a strained presence in their marriage. At a casino roulette table, Joan meets Corrigan, the casino manager, who takes an interest in her. Joan's gambling grows more compulsive, and she begins to lose money that does not belong to her. The Screen Director's Playhouse presents this dramatization on NBC, starring Barbara Stanwick and Steven McNally in their original film roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
