What happens
Polly Haynes, a model, learns that her longtime landlord Mr. Willoughby has sold the Cleopatra Arms apartment house to Eric Phillips, a concert pianist. Polly and Willoughby visit Phillips to press their case, but the pianist is absorbed in his music and his affairs and wants only to be left alone to practice. Polly tries to win his interest in the building, and the conflicts with tenants, jealous admirers and noise quickly multiply around the pianist. This is a Screen Directors Playhouse production, first broadcast on April 21, 1950, starring Jane Wyman as Polly Haynes with Olan Soule as Eric Phillips.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
