What happens

Ranger Bill sends Marty Nelson, Larry Fleming and Morgan Connors to help bring in the wheat harvest near Central City, where farmers are sick with influenza. Working the fields, Marty grows quiet and distracted. Back home, he and his wife Irene tell their children that the Lord has called them to the mission field, and Marty later confides this to Bill. Bill responds with support and a reminder that God's calling matters more than the work at hand. The story is part of the Ranger Bill radio series, and this episode first aired on April 16, 1958.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
