What happens

Ranger Bill is a Christian-themed radio drama set on a ranch. Ken Nichols and his daughter Julie own a beloved puppy, Mr. Prince, who is shot by their neighbor Conrad Flum after the dog crosses onto Flum's land. Chief Ranger Bill Jefferson comes to help the family and urges them toward forgiveness and trust in the Lord rather than bitterness. Julie nurses the wounded dog while the veterinarian gives him uncertain odds of survival. This episode originally aired on June 24, 1961.

A ranch in the countryside, including the Nichols home, Flum's property, and an animal hospital.

Characters: Bill Jefferson, Ken Nichols, Julie Nichols, Conrad Flum, Mr. Prince, Black Thunder

Listen for: Bill Jefferson's counsel to trust the Lord rather than hold bitterness, and Conrad Flum's insistence that he acted within his legal rights.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
