What happens

Ranger Bill, the Guardian of the Forest, hears by teletype that a government research ship is trapped in the ice off the coast of Alaska, with thirty passengers and fifteen crew aboard. Captain Manders and Dr. Nichols face a grim situation as the vessel drifts farther into the ice pack, radio contact is poor, and food supplies are dwindling. Bill and his fellow rangers are flown north and join the destroyer Peabody under Commander Cole, who sets out to locate the stranded ship. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
