What happens

Ranger Bill Jefferson and his young ward Henry Scott fight a forest fire that spreads toward Nadi Pine. Henry, eager to prove himself as a firefighter, has been helping Ranger Bill with his training. Before the fire, the pair visit the Hanson family, whose young daughter Susan is blind and relies on her seeing eye dog Prince. When the fire reaches the Hanson house, Henry is tasked with getting Prince out of the house and into the Ranger car. Henry later wakes in a field, badly shaken, and the town turns against him. Stumpy, the group's friend, stays by him and urges him to look at what really happened.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
