What happens

Dr. Bruce Hummer, a young physician working in the isolated mountain village of Storm Point, is summoned back urgently when several villagers fall ill with a strange sickness. Ranger Bill and his companions Stumpy, Gray Wolf and Henry fly him home by helicopter through fog, while the village's mayor and the kindly Miss Jane tend the sick. Bruce treats the families and posts quarantine signs, but he grows convinced that the cases are linked to a single carrier rather than a normal epidemic. He reasons through the pattern of infections on a map, and the rangers begin comparing the names of visitors to the sick homes. The episode is set in the Dexter Mountains and recorded as part of Ranger Bill.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
