What happens

Ranger Bill's ward Henry and the Indian scout Gray Wolf look into a mining scheme in Naughty Pine. Mining engineer Benjamin Barclay convinces banker Mr. Bragg that an old mine holds rich gold ore, and Bragg agrees to pay one hundred thousand dollars for it. Henry and Gray Wolf follow Barclay and suspect the mine's value is not what it seems. The transcript breaks off before the scheme is fully exposed, so the guide does not describe the outcome.

Naughty Pine, a small desert town, and an old mine in the surrounding badlands

Characters: Ranger Bill, Henry, Gray Wolf, Benjamin Barclay, Mr. Bragg, Mr. Stone, Buckley, Jibbs

Listen for: Henry and Gray Wolf following Barclay to the mine and what they find inside

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
