What happens
Ranger Bill and his friend Henry are awakened late at night by a faint radio distress signal from a remote trapper's cabin in Cougar Canyon. After failing to pinpoint the transmitter, they learn from the forest rangers that the signal may come from a cabin about ten miles north of Mountain Goat Bluff. Bill, Henry, Stumpy and Grey Wolf harness a dog team, load medical supplies and set out through deep snow to reach the cabin. There they meet Tony Cadizzo, whose young son lies motionless, apparently dead. Bill insists on taking the boy to the hospital at Naughty Pine. The episode is part of the Ranger Bill series, first broadcast on June 5, 1957.

Listen for: The faint distress signal heard over the amateur radio, and the moment Bill decides to take the apparently dead young man to the hospital.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
