What happens

Ranger Bill and his friends Stumpy, Gray Wolf and Henry celebrate Henry's birthday with a camera and a helicopter ride over the mountains. Henry takes photographs and later develops them at the Ranger Station. In the pictures they notice a figure at the bottom of a small ravine near a waterfall. Bill arranges a rescue by helicopter. The episode is from the Ranger Bill series, broadcast on 1960-08-17, and the transcript covers only the first part of the story.

A forest ranger station in the mountains, and a remote ravine with a waterfall.

Characters: Ranger Bill, Henry, Stumpy, Gray Wolf, Fred, Bill

Listen for: Henry's birthday gifts and the helicopter ride, and the photographs that reveal someone in the ravine.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
