What happens

Ranger Bill tells the story of Bim, a dog who lives on a ranch near Naughty Pine with Otto Jorgensen and his sons, Eric and Paul. Bim is fond of his masters and proves his courage in several incidents, from killing a large rattlesnake to finding Paul after a fall. The episode is set around a memorial dedication for the animal clinic built in Bim's honour, where a writer asks the family about his life. Bill serves as master of ceremonies, and the story is told through the recollections of the Jorgensens and their friends. Original air date: 9 March 1955.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
