What happens
Dantro, the Planet Man, a troubleshooter for the League of Planets, is flying the crew of Earth's first space expedition toward the capital, Planaria Rex, at great speed. Professor Darrow and his companions had been reported lost after a fire at their launch site, and Dantro has rescued them from pursuing ships. Back on Mars, the dictator Marston learns that the Earth crew escaped his men and orders his scientists to stop them. The League's council is meanwhile pressed to vote on a Martian resolution for peaceful contact with Earth. Dantro is warned by Judge Augustus to return quickly, and his ship soon finds itself in a field of asteroids that should not be there. This is the first part of the episode, and the story is still unfolding.
