What happens
Willie Faye announces to his sister Alice and to Phil Harris that he is engaged to Chloe Johnson, a woman he met only a week earlier. Alice and Phil suspect Chloe is a fortune hunter, so Phil poses as Alice's father to test her interest in money and to steer her away from Willie. Their scheme escalates when they try to pair her off with a supposed wealthy playboy, Elliot Van Finklefinger. The Phil Harris-Alice Faye show aired on NBC on April 19, 1953, with Phil Harris and Alice Faye leading the cast alongside Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon.
