What happens

Phil and Alice Harris set off on their summer vacation to a rented cabin in the High Sierras, but their departure is hampered by Elliot Lewis's Elliot, who insists on tagging along. Alice tries to leave him behind, and Phil and Curly Lewis's Curly devise schemes to get rid of him, including a fall into an open manhole and a trip to the market. Julius, the young man Alice invited along, adds to the confusion. The episode is a comedy of persistent hangers-on and the Harris family's frustrated attempts to get on the road. This is the Phil Harris series, broadcast on NBC on June 28, 1953, starring Phil Harris and Alice Faye.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
