What happens

Phil Harris and Frankie Remley, having given up on their first-aid class, decide to entertain the troops at an army camp, and Alice Faye sets up the engagement with the USO. The two men rehearse their old routine, including a song and some homely-girl jokes, and Alice agrees to help, while their attempts to get through the camp gate keep going wrong. The Phil Harris Alice Faye Show aired on NBC on February 18, 1951, with Harris and Faye as its leads, and Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon also appear in this part of the episode.

Listen for: Harris and Remley trying to talk their way through the camp gate, and their rehearsal of the act

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
