What happens

Frankie Remley has moved into the home of Phil Harris and Alice Faye for what was supposed to be a few days, while he looks for work. A week later he is still there, and the couple grow increasingly exasperated with his demands, his poor manners and his habit of sleeping late. Phil and Alice discuss how to get rid of their guest, while a series of mysterious telephone calls for Frankie begins to draw suspicion. Frankie's behavior gets more outrageous as the household tensions rise.

The Harris home, where house guest Frankie Remley has overstayed his welcome.

Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Frankie Remley, Phyllis, Curly

Listen for: Frankie's phone calls about horse racing and the arrival of a police sergeant at the house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
