What happens
Phil Harris and Alice Faye learn that Willie has donated a pint of blood to the Red Cross and has pledged one of Phil's pints as well. Phil reluctantly agrees to go to the blood bank that afternoon, and he and Alice soon run into their friends Remley and Curly, who are also dragged into the plan. Nervous and resistant, the men try various excuses while the group makes its way to the donor center. The Phil Harris and Alice Faye show aired on NBC on January 28, 1951.
Phil and Alice's home, then the Red Cross blood bank in the afternoon
Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Willie, Remley, Curly, Frankie, Julian
Listen for: Phil and his friends' increasingly far-fetched excuses for avoiding the blood donation, and the blood bank staff's reactions to them
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
