What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye are invited to a dinner party at the home of Darryl Zanuck, the executive producer of 20th Century Fox, after Zanuck has repeatedly watched Phil's performance in Wabash Avenue. Phil needs a tuxedo for the evening, so he and Alice visit several shops in Beverly Hills while Frankie Remley is pulled along on the errand. The shopping trip proves frustrating and expensive, with the salesmen's pretentious manners and high prices testing Phil's patience. The episode aired on NBC on April 23, 1950 and stars Phil Harris and Alice Faye.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
