What happens

Alice Faye takes the children to Palm Springs for a few days, leaving Phil Harris at home with the band rehearsing at the house. Her brother Willie is driving them there, and Alice's suspicion grows as Phil's excuses for the crates and visitors pile up. Meanwhile Curly and Frankie, Phil's friends, bring a live turkey to the house as a Thanksgiving gift and find it becoming a problem. The Phil Harris Alice Faye Show aired on NBC on November 19, 1950.

Listen for: Phil's excuses about the crates of beer and the ice cubes, and Remley's fumbling attempts to hide the live turkey from Alice

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
