What happens

Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, looks forward to Valentine's Day with Mr. Boynton, the biology teacher, who is far more interested in his laboratory animals than in romance. Connie is short of money, and she is looking for a way to persuade him to take her somewhere nicer than the zoo, where they have been spending their dates. Her friends Walter Denton and Stretch Snodgrass are both working on their own schemes, and several people come to her with money they owe her. Mr. Conklin, the principal, is also involved in the day's business. The episode is part of the OTRR Our Miss Brooks singles series, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on February 19, 1950, starring Eve Arden.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
