What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, grows worried when her landlady, Mrs. Davis, announces she plans to marry Henry Pringle, a butcher she has known only a few weeks. Brooks learns from Mr. Conklin, whose sister-in-law was involved with Henry, that Henry is a confidence man with a criminal past. Mrs. Davis dismisses the warnings, so Brooks and Mr. Boynton devise a plan to make her reconsider. The Our Miss Brooks series aired on CBS Radio, and this episode's original air date is November 22, 1953, with Eve Arden in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
