What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High, receives a letter offering her a post at Sunnydale Finishing School, and her colleagues learn of it through Mrs. Davis, who read the letter by accident. Mr. Boynton invites Miss Brooks on a trip to his uncle's farm in Boonville to look for birds, a plan that causes gossip among the staff. Mr. Conklin and his daughter Harriet try to persuade her to stay, and Walter Denton is mixed up in a playful scheme. This episode of Our Miss Brooks was broadcast on CBS Radio on November 28, 1948, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
