What happens
Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, is pressed by Walter Denton, the basketball team manager, to help star forward Stretch become eligible for an upcoming game against Clay City High. Stretch has failed English, and his teacher, Miss Enright, will give his retest, so Walter and Harriet Conklin ask Miss Brooks to get him transferred into her class. Miss Brooks suggests a plan to Mr. Conklin, the principal, and the story follows her efforts to arrange a fair test for the boy. The episode is from the Our Miss Brooks series, originally broadcast on CBS Radio on February 13, 1949, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
