What happens

Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High School, learns that the statue ordered for Founders Day is a copy of Rodin's The Kiss rather than The Thinker, and that the principal, Mr. Conklin, has been left in an awkward position over it. Her landlady, Mrs. Davis, presses her for back rent while running a clothing drive for her club, and Walter Denton and Mr. Boynton are drawn into the mix. Mr. Conklin is preoccupied with his red flannel underwear and with the board's disapproval of the statue. The episode is from the Our Miss Brooks series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on August 14, 1955, with Eve Arden in the lead and Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna among the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
