What happens

Miss Brooks, an English teacher at Madison High, tries an experiment in classroom movies with the approval and money of her principal, Mr. Conklin. The first film she rents turns out to be a different picture from the one she ordered, and the students are amused by the mix-up. When Mr. Stone, a school board member, is due to visit, Miss Brooks scrambles to find a replacement film and enough money to pay for it. Her colleagues Mr. Boynton, Harriet and Walter help her raise the cash. Meanwhile, a projection mishap in Mr. Conklin's office causes further trouble. The episode is from the Our Miss Brooks series, first broadcast on CBS Radio on November 14, 1954, starring Eve Arden, Gale Gordon, Jeff Chandler and Richard Crenna.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
