What happens

Harry Lime and his partner Mo, having given up their criminal rackets in postwar Europe, set up a small charter flight company called Safeways Charter Flights Incorporated. Harry first deals with French officials who warn him they are watching his every move. His first customer, a man calling himself Mr. Butterboy, charters the plane and then leaves in a hurry, handing over a large sum of money. During the flight Harry discovers a stowaway, a young girl who makes a series of unlikely claims about herself and her family. The Mercury Theatre on the Air presents this episode, originally broadcast on June 27, 1952.

Postwar France and Europe, centering on a small private airfield near Nice and a flight over the mountains.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
