What happens

Our Town follows the daily life of Grover's Corners, a small New Hampshire town, as narrated by a stage manager who speaks directly to the audience. The story centers on two neighbors, the Gibbs and Webb families, and their children George Gibbs and Emily Webb. Mornings bring breakfast arguments and errands, afternoons bring school talk and chores, and evenings bring a warm, awkward exchange between George and Emily as their friendship grows. The production comes from The Mercury Theatre on the Air and Campbell Playhouse broadcast of May 12, 1939, with Orson Welles as producer and narrator, and John Craven in the role of George.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
