What happens

Dr. Patrick Torrey keeps a human brain alive in his laboratory after the death of William Donovan, and the brain begins to communicate with him and to influence his thoughts. Torrey's son David and his wife Janice grow alarmed by his behavior and attempt to stop the experiment. Orson Welles plays Dr. Torrey in this second part of Kurt Siodmak's Donovan's Brain, presented on Suspense. The transcript gives no original air date for this episode, so none is stated here.

A laboratory and a house in an American town, in the early autumn of 1944's story.

Characters: Dr. Patrick Torrey, David Torrey, Janice Torrey, William Donovan

Listen for: Dr. Torrey's diary entries describing the brain's growing control over his thoughts, and the family's struggle to stop the experiment.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
