What happens
Harry Lime travels by ship to Honolulu after meeting Anne Brissy, a woman whose husband Joe has just left prison and is searching for Ed Jamison, an old partner who took off with stolen jewels. Harry begins his own search for Jamison, facing Joe's threats while getting to know Moana Lau, a local woman whose family has connections to the island. The story follows the pursuit of the jewels, the rivalry between the two men, and the uncertainty of who can be trusted. This episode of The Mercury Theatre on the Air, broadcast January 4, 1952, is based on the character from the film The Third Man, and stars Orson Welles as Harry Lime.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
