What happens
Oliver Copeland, a struggling painter, and his wife Nellie live in a small house in Middlesbrough after their marriage, but money grows scarce. Oliver is frustrated that his plans for a London art exhibit are at risk, and Nellie grows frightened as a series of murders of women walking alone rocks their neighborhood. Oliver goes out at night and behaves strangely, and Nellie's suspicions begin to grow. Inspector Lamont visits the household with questions, and Nellie tries to make sense of her husband's secrecy. The story is part of the Obsession series, and Tom Conway stars.
A small town in the south of England, and later Middlesbrough, a quiet neighborhood where a series of murders takes place.
Characters: Oliver Copeland, Nellie Copeland, Alice, Inspector Lamont, Mr. Copeland, Mr. Parekent
Listen for: Listen for Nellie's growing suspicion of Oliver as his late nights and strange behavior are noticed by the neighborhood and by Inspector Lamont.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
