What happens

Carol and Roger are newlyweds who move into Roger's Connecticut home, where his older sister Linda has long run the household. Carol soon finds Linda hostile, as small incidents over money, a broken heirloom and personal belongings build into open conflict. Roger falls ill and Carol and Linda clash over his care, while Carol writes a letter describing how the strain has grown. The story is told as an Obsession episode from the series of the same name, with Joan Loris in the lead role; the air date and the other cast are not given in the transcript.

Roger's home in the rolling Connecticut countryside, and Grand Central Station in New York

Characters: Carol, Roger, Linda

Listen for: Carol's letter to Linda, read aloud in the station waiting room, as the story is told in flashback

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
